Today I have the pleasure of introducing Scott Caddick from The Bespoke Tailor.

As the name suggests, The Bespoke Tailor is a bespoke tailoring company who specialise in high-end tailored garments. They are visiting tailors and provide a fabulous personal service, seeing people at home and at work. Covering the whole of the UK their services include:-

  • tailored suits and shirts (they distribute Eton of London shirts)
  • their own range of ties, cufflinks and accessories
  • personalisation of the garments. Be this a monogram with initials or a label with the wedding details on.
  • on-the-day styling service, to ensure the men look their best.
  • continual style and colour advice.

Here's Scott with his 10 top style tips for the Groom:

1.Make it different from your work suits! A lot of people that come to your wedding will wear work suits. Stand out from them!

2. Always remember the photos will last a lifetime. Stay away from trends and select something  timeless that will look as good in 20 years as it did the day you were married.

3. Think about purchasing an extra shirt. It can be a long day so the stay ahead of the game by freshening up and putting on a crisp new shirt for the evening.

4. If in doubt a white shirt is the complete and utter wedding day classic.

5. You don't have to decide the whole outfit in one go. Start with the suit first and then go from there, you may find that you chose a different tie when it all comes together.

6. Most men pin the flower to the lapel of the jacket, but you should never need to do this!. We will put in a working flower hole and loop so you can simply pop the flower in place.

7. Break your shoes in before the big day! There's nothing worse than blisters at 11am and a whole day ahead of you.

8. If you aim to lose or gain weight prior to your wedding be honest with us when being measured. As long as we know your aims, we can work with you to ensure the perfect fit.

9. Discuss your requirements early and outline your key objectives. e.g. must have lilac colour running through it. We have over 5000 cloth choices and the more time we have to research your cloth the better.

10. You don't have to fit everything into the outside of the suit. You can add colour and personality through the lining as well.

Last but not least....

Trust us! We've done a lot of wedding outfits and we know what we are talking about!

Thanks Scott!
