A party vibe which was ‘relaxed but not low key in a beige way!'
We were thrilled to plan Anindita’s milestone birthday celebration—an elegant and meaningful 50th birthday party with a tropical garden theme, all set in the heart of London.
Anindita’s brief was beautifully specific: a chic Zone 1 or 2 location with delicious canapés and cocktails, entertainment that was relaxed but captivating, and a party vibe that was “relaxed but not low key in a beige way!” Challenge accepted.
From the outset, we focused on curating a celebration that felt joyful and effortless, while still exuding style and sophistication. The lush setting of The Ivy City Garden set the perfect tone, with its blue woven fabric panelled private dining space - The Garden Room. The room has a stunning view of the historic Bishopsgate Gardens and St. Botolph Church.
Guests were welcomed into a vibrant space that blended elegant garden party charm with a tropical twist. The team at The Ivy provided mouthwatering canapés and cocktails and ensured no one was without a glass or bite in hand.
Entertainment flowed seamlessly, with acoustic sets by Cassandra Matthews (including some impromptu karaoki!) and live poetry by Jen Feroze, which had guests utterly captivated.
The birthday cake was a gorgeous rainbow cake (Anindita's favourite!) from Lola's Cupcakes. The party was captured beautifully by Louisa London Photography, giving Anindita memories to treasure long after the last cocktail was poured.
And the best part? The heartfelt words we received a couple of days later:
“Thank you so much for the kind card, and most importantly, your wonderful suggestions and judgements on what was needed for my party. It went off brilliantly in every way, and I spent Sunday..reading a flood of gushing messages from my friends who all seemed to have the time of their lives.
Everything was perfect: venue, vibe, food, drink and entertainment, with Cassie & Jen being absolute stars.
