I really enjoy working with wedding and event professionals who go the extra mile for our clients and excel in delivering an impeccable service, time after time. In my latest supplier spotlight, I want to introduce you to one such expert, the lovely Louise from Lush Occasions.
Louise is a professional venue stylist who enjoys creating beautiful settings for her clients. Having worked with her on client events, I have first hand experience of her creativity and impeccable attention to detail. She was one of the incredible suppliers we worked with earlier this year on an event for the owners of Stanford Hall.
Travel was my first job where I loved helping my clients find their dream holidays and where I gained a great training in customer service and attention to detail in the planning, selling and admin side. Seeing my customers happy and excited when I helped them research hotels and resorts, booking, collecting their tickets and then the great feedback on their return made me think that I could put all of these qualities into styling weddings. When I was made redundant it was the perfect time to set up my own business and ‘Weddings’ are my passion so in October 2007 Lush Occasions was born.
I love the whole journey with my couples from our first consultation, learning about their personal journeys together, the proposal and their likes and dislikes. Putting together a proposal for their décor and most of all, standing back after every wedding enjoying the pride and excitement for my lovely couples to arrive and see the vision come to life. The flexibility to work in lots of venues with different styles, themes and visions means work is always exciting. It really is so rewarding, I love my job!”
The first wedding I used my ICE chairs for and some really beautiful luxury décor. The feedback and testimonial from that couple, venue and the guests gave me the determination and motivation to grow my business in that direction. I am actually still buzzing from that wedding!
Week days are spent firstly with a huge cup of coffee, usually with cake… I do LOVE cake! Followed by answering emails, posting on social media, sending quotes, researching, sourcing and ordering styling items. Afternoons are spent at my unit ….. more coffee….where all of the preparations are done for my weddings and loaded in the vans. Evenings are spent usually either back in the office or consultations/practice tables with couples.
Weekends are up early, fuelled with coffee and cake and delivering, styling or collecting décor. This is the best part! Watching all of our hard work come together and experiencing the buzz that comes with standing back and enjoying the view whether it be a Barn wedding, Marquee Wedding or Country House. Unloading and sorting followed by spending time with my amazing family and fabulous friends.
I have some fabulous styled shoots and wedding styling that I'm preparing for at some new and gorgeous venues over the next few months. We are all very excited for the collaboration with these venues and the amazing suppliers we'll be working with.
Thank you Louise!
