Wedding planning is right up there in the top five list of most stressful life events you can go through. But it doesn’t have to be that way - between cake tastings and dress and suit fittings there are some great ways to let go of all that stress as you’re going through the planning process.
One of the many reasons couples can feel so stressed out while planning is because they don’t know what needs to be done when, which leads to doing everything all at the same time too soon or too last minute. Put it all in writing and space out your planning so you can see when the busy periods are and when you get take it easy. Check out our handy 12 month planning checklist for tips on that!
Set regular ‘no wedmin’ days where you don’t touch those spreadsheets or respond to any wedding-related emails. Instead, spend time together doing something relaxing and enjoy your time together. Those wedding related emails, messages and phone calls can wait!
Kill two birds with one stone - get into great shape for your wedding day and get those endorphins on your side with a little physical activity. Maybe combine the two by taking some dancing lessons with your partner for that all important first dance!
Of course, there’s a little bit of bias here but it really can make all the difference. All those stressful, dull bits of planning can be delegated to a professional. Those final weeks of checking in with suppliers, confirming schedules, making lists, coordinating the day - one of the most popular requests we get is to take all those last minute stresses and sort out the jumble.
