It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go....and I'm really looking forward to spending some time with my wonderful family over the Christmas and New Year break. But, before the festive partying starts in earnest, I wanted to re-cap on 2014 - the most fabulous year for Benessamy Weddings and Events.
It's hard to list them all but some of the highlights have included:-
Having the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with so many fabulous clients.
Having the opportunity to meet and work with so many talented, creative and professional people within the fabulous wedding industry and in other business sectors.
Launching new services including our Garden Games Hire and the fabulous Wedding Planning Party.
Being appointed the Midlands Regional Ambassador for the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (UKAWP) and being promoted to a Level 2 Member of the UKAWP.
Being nominated for an award in the Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards.
Having the pleasure of being interviewed for a number of magazines, newspaper ,blog and radio articles and features and my first live TV interview, for Notts TV.
Being invited to write for publication in a number of local, regional and national wedding magazines and publications.
Being selected to work with another fabulous wedding and events venue to manage their weddings (more details on this in the new year!).
Becoming a member of the Aspiring Business Women Network and Marketing Jumpleads and meeting so many fabulous business owners.
Reaching fabulous milestones on our social media with significant increases in our followers, in particular on our:
Benessamy Weddings Facebook
Benessamy Parties and Events Facebook
Twitter

Pinterest
Welcoming our new Intern Georgie Walton and saying a fond farewell to Nilam Modha as she left to launch her own wedding planning business - (2015 looks set to be a fabulous year for her!)
and last but by no means least....
...winning the Best Wedding Planner in the East Midlands Award at The Wedding Industry Awards East Midlands Regional event and becoming a national finalist!
So that's it for 2014! All that remains for me to do is to wish all of our clients, readers, followers, wedding industry and business colleagues and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous 2015.
Our office is closed from today Friday 19th December and re-opens on Monday 5th January 2015.
Look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

A wedding weekend or multi-day celebration is your chance to extend one of the happiest days of your life and spend even more time celebrating. Although anyone can host a wedding weekend, they’re particularly popular among people getting married overseas. If you and your guests are travelling a significant distance, it makes sense to maximise your trip by planning various events and gatherings for the duration of your stay.

In simple terms, an experiential event is one that seeks to immerse guests in an experience. It’s not an event you simply attend and observe. By engaging all the senses, it can be experienced on several levels, creating more impact and making it more memorable for everyone involved.
